Order of the German Eagle Breast Star with Swords in Case by Godet. The Order of Merit of the German Eagle, was instituted May 1st 1937, and awarded by Hitler to foreign nationals who had made meritorious military services to the German Reich. Multi piece construction of 900 silver with fire gilding and fine enamels. Marked 900 for silver content and 21 for Godet of Berlin, the prominent Medals and Order maker of the era, complete with original issue case, marked on the inside of the lid, the overall set in excellent condition and the entire set a true rarity. 66 by 76mm – decoration and the case is 135 by 135 mm and 34mm thick.
