Luftwaffe Pilot’s Badge by Assmann. Handsome early silver over tombac badge made by F.W. Assmann & Sohn and marked with their stylized “A” at the reverse center of the eagle. Each maker of these pilot badges generally had their own designs for the eagle and wreaths while a few makers exchanged parts with this one being a textbook badge by this maker with original hinge and catch and pin all in excellent condition.
