Description
Cased Early Luftwaffe Observer Badge by Assmann Named and Feldpost Numbered. This nice early badge is named to the original owner, “Stehnken” along with his unit Feldpost number, “20630” which belongs to Aufklärungs-Staffel 4 (Fern) of Aufklärungsgruppe 11 (4th Reconnaissance Squadron (Long-range) of Reconnaissance Group 11). The unit flew Ju 88s. I could not find any info on the pilot so it was probably that he died early in the war. The badge is in excellent condition and has some solder reinforcement at the hinge area.
