Description
1930s Spanish War Cross for Francisco Franco’s Moorish (Muslim Arab) Bodyguards, Produced in North Africa. This pattern is very rare and somewhat crude compared to the Spanish-produced examples being a one piece cast example made in North Africa for Franco’s famous Moorish Bodyguards (Guardia Mora) which was formed from the most loyal Arabs from North Africa (Morocco) during the Spanish Civil War. This example has some lettering on the back, possible Arabic, that is hard to make out. Rare. (os)
