Description
Reichskanzlei (Reich Chancellery) Serving Tray by Wellner. This piece measures 21 by 16 inches and is oval. This example has the monogram of the Reich Chancellery. It consists of the Party eagle with half-open wings clutching a wreath with immobile swastika. On either side of the wreath respectively, is the monogram, “R.K.” (Reich Kanzlei). The base is maker-marked, “WELLNER / 74”. This piece is produced of nickel with a silver plate. The “RK” service pieces are rarer than the “AH” types, as they were only used in the Chancellery. This piece is in excellent condition for its age showing light wear. An important and key piece if you are collecting “AH” or “RK” pieces from the Reich government table service.
