The piece is marked on the reverse to the original owner, Rudi Semrau and has the number 139796 which would be assigned to his Luftwaffe Pilot Badge document at the German Ministry of Aviation – Reichsluftfahrtministerium – RLM, and the year 43 as well, the year of issue of the document/badge.
