Description
Large Wehrmacht Eagle. This one measures 21 1/2 inches wide by 40 3/4 inches hide by 1 3/8 inches thick – 54.6 by 103.5 by 3.5 cm and is made of painted wood that is re-enforced with a metal edge all the way around as well at the interior wing openings. This was displayed at a military installation and is only the second that I have owned, shades of green and black highlights. Very good condition for its age with some weathering. Two holes at the bottom for attachment. You can see where it was sat against something up to a certain height as the paint has oxidized up to a certain height from contact with where it sat against another surface. It has been suggested that these are sentry house eagles. LH4657
