Description
Army Officer’s Dagger by Robert Klaas. This Klaas example is in untouched condition, and is an early example. The blade is the plated style and is near mint with one area of wear visible where it has rubbed against the scabbard runners. The crossguard eagle is a real beauty as is the dark orange grip, the scabbard bands have hand enhancements. The scabbard throat is retained by two side screws. The maker mark is at the front of the blade so somebody probably took it apart at one time and did not put it back correctly as it is generally accepted that the maker mark is at the reverse but I did not take it apart and reverse it as I left it as I obtained it. This is a really nice dagger with beautiful features all around. LH4113 OH
