1896 German Military Clothing/Equipment Production Sample Seal. This would have went on an approved production sample. I am surprised that this survived this long as you at times see the Third Reich ones attached to items. The text on this translates as, “Patterns of the buttons, buckles, books, eyelets, etc according to the specifications of the second part of the clothing orders Berlin, the 15th of January 1896, War Ministry Clothing Section,” LH11875
